Goettl air conditioning has been in business since 1932 when brothers Gust and Adam founded the enterprise. They introduced evaporative cooling technology as well as refrigerated air conditioning to the towns in the hot and arid desert areas of the Southwest.

Goodrich spent lots of his personal time visiting with employees and customers and enlisted their help in the new objectives of perfect customer service and focusing on customers instead of just profits. Today Goettl has annual revenues in excess of $50 million annually and everyone is happy.
A good article in BizJournals details a recent acquisition that Goodrich made where Walton Heating and Air was absorbed into Goettl. Goettl has always been focused on residential heating and air and not so much on commercial HVAC. Walton’s is very strong in the commercial HVAC area and that is why Goodrich made the deal.
Todd Longbrake, the owner of Walton’s made the point that he had built up Walton’s to the point that the limit had been reached that one person could do and that the company was becoming stagnant as a result. Since the acquisition the Southern California division has experienced a tenfold growth. Goodrich thinks so much of Longbrake that he has been retained and is the company Sales Manager and field supervisor.

A lawsuit was filed against New Hampshire Insurance Company by the Atlanta Hawks basketball team and the former leaders of the NBA franchise. The lawsuit involved the defying of the contract that included the settlement of the claims that Danny Ferry-the general manager made.
Tony Ressler-the principal owner of Hawks ownerships is not involved in the lawsuit. According to forbes.com, an undisclosed buyout agreement was made on June 22, 2015, by Ferry and Hawks ownership which was supposed to end with a six-year contract worth $18 million in 2012 but the approval of the auction of the franchise to Ressler came two days later.
